This item is not. Plugging into any usb port into my laptop gives me a device error. Operated great for 30 minutes, then stopped working and froze my router.

Drivers are obscure, unintuative, written in chine language, compressed (unnecessary and outdated) with no automatic installation. Useless to me having it on a remote machine. The other machines i was testing against are :- bumblebee.

The dongle overheats within 15 seconds of transferring data at 2. The average in receive mode is lower than 1 gbps when talking to any of the 10 gbps systems. When i plug via this ethernet it only goes up to 50mbps download.

I needed to connect a new laptop to a cat5 ethernet network but the machine did not have an ethernet port

Speed test showed a pathetic 50mb down out of 1gb
