    I got about 90 of the way through a multiple layered high quality leather guitar strap just by twisting the punch back and forth lightly

    Maybe but i used to use a 38 drill bit and do this by hand and those of you who use that method know how much it sucks and can potentially tear up a nice leather guitar strap or cause structural issues or tears
