You can different grip types depending on your preference and protects those weak thumb grips you get with the ds4 controller out the box
Previous ps systems had no issues with this but these new controllers i found out have a design problem with the rubber coverings

I actually prefer the texture of these than the standard ds4 thumb grip pads
You have to insert one side and then rotate the thumb grip until the flange works its way on in a sortof screwing motion
Wanted to keep my new ds4 sticks in pristine condition and these fit the bill

On my old ps4 controller the analog sticks quickly wore out the rubber on top started to peel and it became horrible to use

One problem is that they are a bit of a pain to put on it is time consuming because you need to put the bottom under the thumb sticks which takes a bit of fiddling

This isnt a product fault just a design flaw the cross hair style pairs just dont agree with my thumbs and i find they dont help with grip at all

Bought these because i got one of the early ps4 batches where the analogue stick rubber was poor quality i had literally worn it down to the plastic

They are slightly concave like xbox thumbsticks
