Pros & Cons

Pros

The crisp image is astounding. Water proof, fog proof.

Even the padded neck strap is comfortable. They are a little heavy, but quite manageable when hiking. The diamondbacks come with a chest harness.

These are excelent binoculars for bird and criters watching. Watching bees on flowers in a garden. Nikon nikon 8x30m7.

They are slightly clearer and sharper than the vortex brand. I have a monocular from bushnell as well that is great too. Image is the same, very hard to notice any edge blur and they pick up light very well.

X42 and 10x42. They're more compact that similarly priced vortex binoculars and brighter. They provide decent magnification without being too heavy for me to hold steady.

Cons

The quality and durability of these products is in question. I am paranoid about using the diopter adustment for fear that the same drifting problem will happen again. Otherwise, this is the worst binocular that i have owned.

Shipping

The focus is fast and you can hold the binoculars while focusing with 1 finger so single handed operation

Competitiveness

Gave to my daughter as a bday present before she headed on a trip to alaska

Since we both want access to a pair we decided to get a 10x42 set

The vortex crossfire 10x42 hd was runner up
