Pros & Cons
Pros
The handle makes it easier to not whack your fingers/knuckles as well. Used with a rubber mallet. I love how it had a lip to get over the locking portion of the board so you didn't damage it.
This tool is necessary when installing vinyl flooring. Used this to lay about 800 square feet of lvt. Was used to put luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout our entire home.
Cons
This one it's too hard to tell if you're on the bottom or middle gap of laminate, leading to chipping the laminate or extra time lining up. The knob on top is useless and puts your hand in a spot where you will absolutely crush it with your mallet.

We had two tapping blocks for our floor installation and believe me you want the one with the handle
Whoever was using the one without the handle was the one hitting their fingers with the mallet
Packaging/appearance
The knob handle is good for keeping your fingers out of the way of your hammer
Competitiveness
I used this for installing home depot lifeproof lvp
The plastic does get beat up quickly but thats to be expected for the price

I started off using a wood block which was not real flat against the planks and made some indentations in the groove
