Pros & Cons

Pros

Stainless steel bowl/inside is superior to 95% of any of the cooked i've seen to decades. No coatings, so purity in cooking is evident.

This rice cooker is just awesome. It works perfectly. It’s just perfect.

Just added ingredients and set to porridge mode. Grains of rice are perfectly fluffy. It takes about 45min to cook 1-2 cups of white rice. Cooks superb rice every time, no matter the variety.

Build quality is great. The heating system is excellent. Even the user manual is good! Pricier than many. It is worthy to buy.

My zojirushi nszcc10 fuzzy logic rice cooker had pretty bad burned heating elements no matter how much i scrubbed it and it would always overcook the rice so that it becomes really mushy

Edit tried to use it to cook one cup of rice for congeeporridge

Do not trust the water line for 1 cup

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

If you fill the water up to that line you will get a watery soup that is not how congee is supposed to be

Fill it up half way or maybe even less

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Be careful when you open the lid as all the steam comes out at once and its a lot of steam since it doesnt release any during the cooking process

When compared side to side the buffalo rice has more chew than the zojirushi and im not talking about the undercooked kind of chew
