Pros

It truely is amazing. This is the best diaper pail i have ever owned and i have tried many over the course of 23 years providing childcare.

Babies are a blessing and joy, but those little stinkers sure can make some stinkers. No stinky diaper smell in the house. Great height, no smell, with great capacity. Looks great in my daughter's nursery.

The diaper genie lasts us a full week until garbage day for each kid. One of them is my special needs and physically disabled five year old son who's incontinent.

The glad citrus scent bag locks the odor in. The only time we smell diapers is when we take the bag out to empty it.

Cons

This is just as stinky as my last pail. This thing seems to hold the diaper stench.

Neither the white outside latch nor the back hatch button work. The pop-up top into which you insert the dirty diapers is quite flimsy. In addition to the broken lid, smell seems to continue to be an issue.

The ring on the inside regularly rips the trash bag (one of those tough-flex trash bags mind you), as i'm pulling it out. The hinge looks like it broke and now it doesn't have any kind of seal.

The product seems to be very cheaply made. It's so disappointing, especially given the price tag. I think the manufacturer should pay for all of the shipping whatever the cost since this is clearly a defective product.

15 minutes later we received a notification that they would be shipping out a new part at no charge

I contacted the company and they sent a replacement lid with fast shipping and no charge

Ive had this diaper pail for 10 months and one thing we know is for sure that it seals in the bad odor

It really does lock away the odor

Every time i open the lid to remove the bag of soiled diapers the stench hits me like a brick wall
