A little hard to focus if trying to hold by hand but okay on the stand

The adjustment on it for magnification is more if a focusing tool depending on how close your object it but it is important to remember with this type of usb microscope and most all i have used it is important to remember that the object needs to be able to be placed at the focal point of the microscopes lens which is right at the bottom of the clear plastic

That is why this is excellent for flat items or anything small enough to fit inside the plastic as flat items can be easily scanned over with the device such as a dollar bill see video
