Pros & Cons
Pros
The lights are controlled using a raspberry pi 3 with a simple program called led control. They're super easy to solder with a clean tip and a decent high flux solder without any extra preparation to the pads. The strips are very easy to cut to length... Read More
The strip operates best at 5v, but will operate at lower voltage. The first pixel is dim as a result, but it's sending a signal to the rest of them at 4. V. I have a setup with 335 leds all powered using one 300w psu.
The led strip itself seems well built. Nerveless, when multiplied by the number of leds the current is very significant. Otherwise, the gradual shift from white towards yellow was observed.
Cons
Out of the last 10 i ordered 5 were either defective or the wrong item was sent! The strip's power wiring isn't high enough gauge for the power/length/resistance of the strips. There was no input connector and only 107 leds.
