Set-up: read some previous reviews recommending that i get the latest software from the brother website rather than the cd and i also saw there was a firmware update on the website which i downloaded too )not sire if this is why i've had better results than others).

Not an option in the software to scan using the whole platen unfortunately (glass surface) just max a3.

Tried to print a 6x4 photo on glossy photopaper.

Really struggled to get the paper to feed through using the bottom tray - kept jamming.
