Pros

Your entree is almost ready! If it says, your entrée is ready! Nothing better. Then along comes this little ditty.

The grill thermometer is the best product i've ever ordered. It is perfect for cool and cold weather grilling. I smoke and grill through the winter and it is important to not open the grill/* often.

It is more pricey than others but apparently worth the extra. Not just a novelty. Has a belt clip to wear the reciever on your person.

It pairs with the sending unit more quickly and more reliably than the old 1. Enought. The accuracy is amazing.

Cons

Brookstone only warranties their items to the original purchaser. The transmitter sits beside the receiver and it still loses signal. The unit is older than its one-year warranty, but since i'm sure that the product was designed to last longer than on... Read More

Sometimes a new probe fixes the problem ($20 ea) sometimes nothing (including hitting the reset button) the company says the probes are sensitive but this is ridiculous. The temp reads either zero, or 199 degrees.

With the germophobe issues it wasnt worth the effort

Once in a while if i havent used it for two or three months i have to reset it so the probe communicates with the receiver but thats rare
