Pros & Cons
Pros
You have to spend time riding it so it conforms to your shape. No * bone discomfort at all. Being used on a gravel bike, i'm not concerned about a few extra ounces.
There were no marks, creases, or anything else, that may be viewed as an eyesore. Slight ruffing of the leather along one of the edges.
Start by ensuring the nose and the rear are positioned exactly level.
Always larger with more padding. Bought because of the reputation for comfort. This fits the bill.
Purchased recently after trying for 20 years to resist the urge due to the price. This is better than the cheaper saddles that i buy and use. Thank you seller.
Cons
Tensioning screw broke on 10/7/2023. Problem is the rails would not fit on my easton seat post. If there is no way to replace the rail without replacing the leather i will lose all of the care and maintenance i have given to the seat. Not a comfortabl... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Happy so far and the quality black leather should last a long time
The saddle is well made and comfortable
After about 2months of serious riding the leather forms to you…no plasticfoam to wear out
Finally i bought the brooks b17 leather and now after using it for a year and 6 months i want to tell you that it is a great saddle
Price
This is indeed one of those you get what you pay for
If you can find a b17 at a good price try it
Yes its pricey but if you are into riding you will appreciate it after a few miles
Shipping
Please note that you may have trouble sending the amazon purchase receipt through their email or website
Packaging/appearance
Put the conditioner on the seat that it came with a small ketchup packet worth
Looks wonderful on my btwin 500 highly recommended
Right out of the box it turned out to be the most comfortable saddle i have bought
On a side note the box and packaging are top notch and fitting for such a classic saddle
Competitiveness
I like to compare these saddles to the old leather military boots
I have had and tried many bike seats and brooks is the best for me
The saddle comes with a sample of profide so if you buy this saddle you must buy their can of pofide which will last years
I was happy to find it was similar in size to the bontrager brand seat i was replacing
