Pros

Broan-nutone bcdj130wh glacier range hood. Replaces a 46 year old nutone/broan exhaust hood. This glacier unit matches my org range hood with 400 cfm (450 cfm is only in open air btw), and it has dual blower.

This unit has twin centrifugal blowers ('squirrel cage blowers) that reduce the noise substantially. The fan is really quiet on the low setting and quite reasonable on the highest. The noise level is what i would expect from any type of blower.

Cons

This one is much lower quality than the last and harder to install. Tried to isolate them to reduce noise but still audible constant hum. This is unacceptable for the price of these things.

All in all very pleased with the unit and its operation

Once i got it installed 8 hours and two home depot trips later i was quite happy with the performance

Appeared to be a quality control issue with the assembler

The unit did not come with the charcole filters

Side note the first one we got had gotten dropped on the corner during shipping bending the crap out of the front right corner of the unit

This is a great hood and great value for the money however the packaging is not sufficient to ensure it isn’t damaged in shipping

replaced a 14 year old single blower broan model qp130bl so this informs my impressions of the unit

So when we recently bought a new gas range we decided to get a new vent hood as well and bought this broan model
