This replaces another brand's gable fan that burned out when a stray piece of plastic got caught in the fan. Sounds like a loud bath fan when running, but keeping the attic cool offsets that minor inconvenience.

The construction is a little flimsy, but after it was bolted in, that problem was solved. Easy to install and working well.
Works exactly as advertised. I hope it lasts a good long time. Overall it's been in service for 3 months now without any issue whatsoever.

Lowes attic fan is not quiet at all. The design having the thermostat inside the shroud is less than smart. It blows in the wind and admits hot or cold outdoor air into the attic space even though we also bought the paired vent-flap cover for the outs... Read More

They are reasonably priced so didnt mind replacing too much because they are so effective at extracting heat out of the attic space

After a bit over 6 years the bushings wore out and make a fairly loud squeal when running
