Next i figured since i had blinds i would select the roller blinds preset from the new appliance menu this just did nothing

Second i went for user defined device which allowed me to teach it the rf commands from my remote and operate the blinds from my phone but alexa was none the wiser because apparently you can use voice assistant with custom appliances

I went through teaching it the up down and stop buttons and it now works equally as well as the remote does which in fairness is a bit patchy itself often only two blinds would move if you pointed it in slightly the wrong directionall in all it was a little offputting to not see my brand in the very short list of known brands and a little confusing that my blinds wouldnt work as blinds but would work as curtains but it still took maybe 20 minutes in total from opening the box to programming timers and automations for the blinds into alexa

Item is good but requires a little work as my router had no more ports had to get a hub then connect via hub to get it to work
