I think it would be better to cut down on the prefiltered water space in this slim in one dimension only version so that it is smaller and does not hog the fridge door

When pouring out the last of the filtered water fully tipped unfiltered water can come out through the top not at the lip which is well sealed but futher back

Water catches in the space under the filter and comes back out into the top section while pouring
