I didnt know iif all the holes in the shaft of the bar were necessary and wondered if the holes weakened the device

I cant give it 5 stars because if a 200 lbs man is motivated enough he could probably break the door down eventually but overall id say its good value for the dollar and will stop a burglar long enough so you can call 911 or grab a weapon to protect yourself
