Great advice for overcoming what we americans have started to accept has normal terrible behavior. She makes a good argument that american children are often left coddled in a way that leaves their parent and other caregivers exhausted, while not cult... Read More
Cons
This book stinks! Makes no real points to go by. I quit almost halfway thought he book because it was pointless material. Find a summary online and skip the book.

There were also some very outdated but apparently still aliveandwell attitudes toward childbirth and men’s role in the early phases of parenting

I haven’t asked my husband if it ruined the mystique for him to watch or if he ever thought i had mystique to begin with but that part about french culture never thinking of mothers as just mothers was fascinating to read

Women are always women and sexual beings in the eyes of the french i suppose

It doesnt give off the usual scientific feel and it does stereotype the french to be some sort of super parents but it does get the message across
