The most disappointing thing about the thermometer is the time it takes to settle on the correct temperature

After removing from ice for calibration it took about 55 seconds to rise back to ambient to room temperature as opposed to the “34s response time” advertised as the metal probe was in the ice for at least 90 seconds it probably took a while for the metal probe to reach ambient temperature

The autooff mechanism works great with other thermometers i often forget to turn them off but this one shuts off automatically when you close it or leave it alone for a longer period of time
