Smooth out the walls with a wallpaper smoothing tool and i use a seam rollover on the seams make sure you have no bubbles

We tried water only then decided to use our home depot strippable wallpaper paste gallon size

Remember it doesnt stick to itself so you are butting only therefore plumb is important
