The fasteners are only 3 inches long so if the band is cut too long it wont tighten properly

If you cut the band too short there is only 1 splice that connects two pieces of band together

I could easily use one of the other rwo clamps to make a second one with remaining strap or if the old one falls off

My tin snips would not cut it though because it is too thick
