I dont know why other faucet producers dont use this style diverter instead of the standard knob on top style

After about 18 months the shower diverter started leaking and got worse and worse until it was nearly impossible to use the shower without sticking your fingers up the spout and fiddling with the internal parts

I contacted the manufacturer and got a replacement under warranty that was brokennonworking from the start

Any water that leaks through the spout is wasted hot water and a waste of energy

There was no separate seal to install

One note on installationthis slides over 12 inch copper pipeso if you have a larger threaded end like i did youll have to cut it off for it to work
