You just can not go get normal flapper when it gos bad when so when fill valve went bad i dreaded what that was going to cost then could not find exact style as no longer made

I had to install the overflow restrictor that allowed the most volume to go down the overflow tube to get it on par with the 400a and brasscraft units

I talked to fluidmaster through their online chat and they said to use the regular 400a for a faster fill

I purchased that locally and it did in fact fill faster than the pro45u but it still wasnt as fast as the brasscraft fill valve

The 400a has a slowersofter water cut off which may reduce water hammer noise in a house but it did not help in this house

Once you see all the parts involved and whats under the cap you realize the design between the two is very basic and similar
