The calibration instructions have been improved from earlier versions i installed this on an earlier model of the same car after rebar had ripped off one side of the bumper

The only way around this is to connect it to an accessory fuse in the fuse compartment or remove the ca5 unit and exchange it for the ca14 unit

June 2016 update i returned the ca5 unit and purchased the ca14 that was now available from amazon and when it was received the unit was damaged and i had to return the unit

I installed this curb warning device ob a 2008 mazda miata installation of the sensor was simple it uses adhesive tape

Next was finding a way to make the electrical connection such that it draws no power until the ignition is turned on

Finally routing the cable between the sensor and the control box required putting a hole in the firewall i was unable to find an existing hole large enough to pass the cable connector through
