The rear plastic tabs will either break or they catch the edge of the outer battery case and destroy the battery coming out

They slide right out with no effort and two batteries will power my unit for nearly 20 hours with headphones that i also purchased at radio shack that both have separate volume controls solving the problem of not having a volume control on the unit

I paid a guy 20 dollars who spent 20 minutes trying to set his high end detector and another half hour scouring for it with no luck
