Pros
Second time i have purchased this item as my 7 year old granddaughter loved it so much that i had to get one for my other granddaughter. My ignorance aside a great gift for a 8 year old.
It looks like this affordable metal detector is perfect for a beginner and has great features. It's cheaply made but works great. Prompt shipping and secure packaging.
Cons
Only detects metal 1/2 the time. The only way to correct this is to shut the unit off and restart. Don't waste your time, spend a bit more and buy a real one like a garret etc.

I discovered on thing no matter how good a metal detector is it needs to be light enough for my 10 year old kid to play with so my 200 4lbs metal detector went back to the store and i got him this one 75 1lbs

It seems to moderately sensitive and we have found quite a few things
