The lamp was in our teenage sons room and the base broke

Had to give it 3 stars for brightness related to the lamp shades are metal so when you turn the light on it isnt as bright as lamps with the clear or white plastic shades

I had the same setup but it had plastic shades and they disintegrated and broke apart over time

The switches are a little annoying as you have to turn it two clicks but it does provide a lot of light and doesnt look like those stupid boob champagne glass lamps
