Pros & Cons
Pros
Bought this to repair a fence. Works great on flat nailing applications. Installed hardie plank siding with this nail gun. Never had a jam or miss-nail.
Light weight and compact. Included belt/rafter hook is very nice. Love the adjustable air discharge port.
Cons
The hitachi nail gun jams every 10-15 nails. The nails misfeed frequently, resulting in my having to realign them in the feed mechanism. It locks up a lot, jams about every 10 nails, snaps off the heads and i'm using bostich nails.
Not my first bostitch tool. Currently at the factory authorized repair center. Returned it and reordered.

I was a little hesitant because of the price at first but quality doesn't come cheap.
Had a couple jams over the course of the entire job, and those were more likely nail issues rather than with the nailer itself.
Careful with the hardy it will break it.
Ok, full discloser, i worked as a contractor for years and i'm well acquainted with the use of air nailers.
Competitiveness
Bought this to install new siding (lp smartside) on my 24x24 garage.

I found it difficult to use for angle nailing (into corners) because it didn't drive the nails fully into the product some of the time.

Change nozzle to single shot if doing any precision work.

Remember to keep it oiled up- it doesn’t come with pneumatic oil as it should to get one into the habit.
