The increased durability is well worth the extra cost. Long lasting. Though i suspect the issue may be the same for newer model tools. Sometimes newer isn't always better.

Cons
The diablo blades i replaced these with are far superior. No screws. I cut through one rusty 1/4-20 bolt, this causes the blade to break 2 teeth and to significantly dull the rest along the working area of the blade.

It cut through wood nails and anything i needed to have cut that a traditional tool couldnt handle

These bosch carbide tipped are far superior to any other blade purporting to cut metal and nails
After buying a carbide tipped dremel brand oscillating blade i would never go back to the regular steel blades again
They may be expensive but they will last longer than any other brand out there
