Pros
A little pricey for a stick of metal. Priced reasonably for the utility. Double whammy.
You need to get the drill bit and where it mates to the extension through the first stud and into the void between them. Makes it alot easier. It connects to a bit with 2 set screws that are tightened by an allen wrench.
Drilled holes in a 6x6 with a 5/8 bit. Used for hole saw and paddle bits. Needed an extension for a rotary wire brush to clean the fire tube on my rv water heater.
Cons
This product is not what is advertised! Don't put yourself through the hassle. Not a good product. Not very well engineered.

This extension uses two setscrews to hold the bit which is good but not great

You could also have a couple of these in a line horizontally and it wouldnt rainbow

This means if you need to go through a piece of wood with a small drill bit this would clear when a larger one will not
