The first book centers on her childhood and becoming an actress. Aside from her career, the book conveys a woman driven towards personal success.
She gives up her fight child, her daughter, for adoption. The second half of the book centers on her parents and their last years and coping with their illnesses and death. The triumphs and tragedies.

Humility is not a word or describe kate mulgrew. Along as her career is front and center she tends to gloss over details that could incriminate her.
