After noticing frostwater damage on our dummy stack i searched for something to dye the mix to red to be more like brick colour than grey of cement mix

You will need a full tin per cement mixer load

So half bag of cement 2 and a half bags of ballast 1 tin of dye will get you a nice red

I used 5 tins for a 15 meter by 1 meter path but it was pink so if you want red youll need twice as much

I know this isnt what the product is meant for but for the price i thought i would give it a go and it worked

Mixed with mortar this pigment made a passable colour match with a broken border

My reservation is that quite a lot of effort is required to mix it into the cementmortar and it can be a bit flyaway and messy

You need a lot to get the brick red color
