One downside is the outer metal portion gets scalding hot so not suitable if any small fingers nearby

Its well marked but the lid will fit either way so you just have to make sure you put it on correctly

The only minor flaw is the length of the cord it is quite short so you have to insure there is an outlet close to a flat surface
