The knife ships sharp however if youre like me youll want to customize the edges to your own liking

This is in fact a problem when you first get the knife the pen and coping blades were nearly impossible to open without needle nose pliers

Ive been wood carving with this knife for a few days now it hones to a very good edge and keeps it much longer than any of my stainless blades and i prefer it to d2 tool steel im giving up on case ss edges chip when profiled to my liking

There is some blade rub but i expect that on a congress knife and since it is a user knife for me im going to scratch up the blades more than they will scratch each other

Normally i only buy knives of this quality when i can hold the knife in my hand and check it out personally but given amazons return policy i purchased this one on line
