The smell is not unpleasant - sort of like a fruity vinegar. It takes us about two weeks to fill a bucket, and about 2 weeks to ferment. Great for indoor composting.

Just as one bucket gets full the other is done fermenting and they can be swapped out

Once a bucket is done fermenting i take it to the bottom of the yard dig a hole deep enough to bury it about 34 inches dump in the stuff and cover it back up

Its a bit of a chore to do the digging but its only every 2 weeks so i suck it up the first time i dumped a bucket i was disappointed

I thought the waste would be more composted
