I have an 08 civic with an aux connection but it sucks having to connectdisconnect the wire to my phone each time

When you plug it into the power port it turns on automatically

I have had a little trouble pairing my phone to it automatically sometimes i have to go into the settings on the phone and select car kit myself but thats a minor inconvenience
