So i contacted the seller bluefire tech and within just a few hours they responded with an offer to ship a brand new one for free and if the new one was also defective they would give me a full refund

It turns out they also kind of gave me an upgrade the item i originally ordered didnt come with a usb cable to connect to the computer but the new item they shipped me did come with one
