Pros & Cons
Pros
The pieces fit nicely, store in board. Sturdy wooden box and pieces and quick game for fun for all ages. One complaint is that the smallest pieces often get stuck inside the second smallest piece.
Even our 7 year old grandson loves it! Kids and adults love it! My 5 year old enjoys it as well although maybe not on the same plane of strategy as older siblings/adults. Parents like it too.
The whole family really enjoys playing the game! We do modify the rules slightly. It’s a fun family friendly way to compete against each other.
Whoever plays develops multiple strategies to win. In the heart, this is a straightforward game, but strategies can make this game enjoyable.
Cons
The gobblet game looks to be used rather than new. The wood used is obviously very cheap (very light) and the varnish is distastefully yellow. Adding to these issues is a strong lacquer smell which is altogether unpleasant.
