Pros

Cracking the xbox case takes patience. Initial impression is my xbox is working again. Saved myself $125 paying someone else to replace the drive.

This isnt too difficult, but i'd recommend watching some instructional videos on youtube before attempting it! Ifixit and youtube are very helpful for this. Not hard to install offer watching youtube video.

Cons

Replacement disc drive practically fried my xbox. It's not worth the work and frustration.
