Pros

Geralt, ciri, dandelion and yennefer are the main characters in the saga. This book follows the end of sword of destiny where geralt finds ciri.

Cons

The second part of the book the witcher is basically absent with the whinging and snarky ciri and yennefer traipsing about the lands. I guess the success of the witcher is down to the video game, because this book is dreadful.

The book seems to be filled with more conversation than anything, conversation that progresses so slowly and, in some cases, loops back on itself. Much too much dialogue and navel gazing and not enough action.
