Upon opening the package and reviewing the part the biggest thing i noticed is the hardware has no corrosive protection on them at all

Yes a hot incandescent bulb being plunged into cold water could often cause the bulb to pop from thermal shock but this doesnt apply to leds which are solidstate lights already encapsulated in a watertight plastic epoxy

I only gave it 4 stars because the included license plate holder is complete garbage

The flimsy plastic holder snapped off completely very shortly after mounting it not sure exactly when because we were completely unaware of where or how it even happened

We lost our license plate as well which cost us over 10 to replace at the local dmv

Save yourself some trouble and buy a different metal plate holder and throw the one included with these lights into the trash

This would have been an easy 5star review if the license plate holder was stainless steel or aluminum
