Bladebuddy works best without any lubricant. Make sure to use it every time before shaving.
Cons
The blade buddy product is not as pictured. There is no plastic framework for it to sit in. The new one slips all over my marble countertop. Trash, makes a better soap dish.

I sharpen it for about 15 strokes after each use

One razor cartridge was conditioned with blade buddy after each shave the other the control razor was simply rinsed as usual

While i got about 10 shaves out of the control razor before it became noticeably worn out the test razor kept going for about 15 shaves

I was able to get half again the life out of each cartridge before retiring them

For the first week i will swipe the cartridge 1520 times and the trimmer blade 1015 times after that i swipe the cartridge 30 times and the trimmer 20 until the razor is obviously at endofservice

Getting dull isnt really an issues its the fact that they build a film from your shaving cream cut hair and dead skin that makes the razor appear to be dull
