My first blade buddy was awesome as far as keeping the blade sharper longer but it was large bulky and the part you run the blade over fell off of the hard plastic part

This new smaller allonepiece design is awesome easy to rinse off dries quickly and it cant fall apart being all one piece

When stroking the blades over the strop’s abrasive surface you must either feel or hear vibrations to be sure the blades are touching the surface of the strop thus verifying that you are using the blade buddy correctly otherwise sharpening cannot take place

In some cases when stroking the strop the thickness of the plastic frame that encases the blades pushes surface of the strop away from the blades not allowing sharpening to take place

As we all know these blades are stupid expensive and made to last maybe a week if you have a heavy beard face
