Of course you can just use this with one camera and remove the second strap

Also i have tried it with both my d700 and d600 for a short test and it seemed to work just fine with the cameras

If you need a cross body single camera setup the ooby one works well

While the main crossstrap fits fine after adjusting it to my body the second strap which hangs down to my left is too long

After adjusting the strap to be the shortest it can be it left no room for my camera to slide behind me the stopper butts right up to end of the strap adjuster

If you wanted to be able to remove the cameras easily you could use a locking quick link instead

I removed all of the plastic locking clips that are supposed to keep the camera in a certain place
