The big selling point are the tethering straps one side connects to the cameras neckstrap location the piece of metal to the left or right of the camera and the other end connects to the carabiner on the rstrap

Its not meant to be used as a regular strap you use for a normal period of time its only meant to be there for that second if the screw mount fails

I dont use the carabiners at all and the bag is nice because its included but not something id buy separately
