Pros

Comes with one spool already installed, but i purchased the three pack spares as well. Changing spools is a snap. It operates the same but has an added feature that assists in trimming near walls and along the sidewalk.

Great for older users. Super handy to have. Adjustable length is pretty good too. Great trimming feature.

Cons

The motor shorted out and fried my extension cord. The feed becomes entangled and breaks about every 10 linear feet of edging, etc.

Black and decker gh900 tool is a piece of poop! Also a pain to switch from edger to * eater. There is a small locking device which is broken on the * eater.

It does a fair job trimming, but if you're thinking about trying to use this as an edger, don't. It eats the plastic string like there's no tomorrow, so even doing about 100 linear feet of trimming would exhaust the spool. Each spool is $7. But the st... Read More
