#1 is that all other soap savers have short little cord loops for hanging them--not long enough cords for one's wrist to prevent dropping the soap and saver. That's why real soap-on-a-rope products have a long enough cord. Evidently the soap saver manufacturers don't think about why that is. This product has a long enough cord--perhaps too long for your wrist, in which case you can shorten it. I deducted a star because the cord is too thin--see the thick soft long cords on actual soap-on-a-rope products (why do people who make simulated soap-on-a-rope products not look at actual ones and copy those?) Actual soap-on-a-rope soaps are quite expensive, hence the need for less expensive simulations.#2 Almost all other similar products say exfoliation and make hard scratchy ones. IMHO, most people do not need or want hard scratchy exfoliating bath washcloths, they have only become a fad. They are damaging to the thin skin of elderly people (at least). This product was a reaction to complaints about their hard scratchy version.UPDATE: I have made this my travel soap saver--although I don't use it to save soap, I use it to reduce the risk of my falling in the shower. The reason I use this, among the 6 other soap savers I bought, to travel with is that it dries quickly (as the seller points out), which is essential if you are spending only one night in a hotel. The second update is that this bag is large enough for me to get my hand in it with a regular size soap bar (I do select the soap with that in mind, and obviously I take one of those bars with me on trips)--I tighten the cord and I'm all set to wash.  Read Less
