Sun gro® horticulture is the manufacturer of black gold® seedling mix. Black gold has amazing wicking ability and my seeds germinate with out issues.

Cons

It is almost impossible to keep this mix moist once seeds have germinated. It gets * easily compared to cheap top soil.

Have had zero problems with any fungus or mold when starting seeds with this mix and they take off growing pretty fast once they germinate

I was hesitant about paying significantly more for this seed starting soil over a bag from a local hardware store but i’m glad i did

I made the mistake of purchasing another big name brand and deeply regretted that purchase
