Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

The small basket on the poles in perfect in the sandy and leaf covered trails in north fla. There seem to be some reviewers who never figured out how to lock the poles together. This pole is light enough for most day hiking.

Sturdy without much noise or vibration. No rattles. Good grips. They are lightweight and very sturdy!

Grips redistribute some of the stress from your back/legs.

Cons

Durability seems to be the problem as now they are rendered useless. Weight difference is so minimal (brother has the carbon fiber) and these are also supposedly more durable.

The top piece on both poles is jammed up and will not extend to full length. Gel insert between aluminum shafts got permanently stuck inside and thus renders the pole completely unable to lock out. Only received 1 pole.

There seem to be some reviewers who never figured out how to lock the poles together but its quite simple and they do not come apart when locked

These poles collapse down to fit in a backpack

Dont like how they fold and lock in place

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I deducted one star because it is still difficult to get the hard rubber tip off to use in snow and the new model has a terrible velcro strap to hold them together

I had tried a single walking stick in the past and it never worked

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I had to go to youtube to figure out how to extend them fully

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The problem again was that the youtube vidios were for different versions of these poles

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I kept looking for the button which would start the collapsing process but of course there is none on these poles
