Pros & Cons
Pros
The 'resto by demeyere' casseroles/saucepots, skillets/frying pans, etc. I thought i better buy another just in case they were gonna be discontinued. As a side note we also have a chantal which is equally well made and has given us many years of servi... Read More
The long, nicely contoured spout is perfect for pour-over coffee making. What sold us on this teakettle in the end is the spout being one with the kettle and not just something soldered/welded on.
This kettle heats quickly on my old electric coil burner stove. The 3 ply plate fits exactly to the small burner. It boils a lesser volume quite quickly, indeed, far more quickly than most other kettles i have had.
That no doubt accounts for the fact that we could salvage it after the scorch incidents. two years later, lots of camping trips and still performing like new!
This kettle is 6 quarts and well over a gallon. The weight is just ideal, hefty enough to feel like it's a quality kettle, with a thick base to disperse heat--but not so weighty that i can't lift it easily.
Cons
It is made in indonesia, i doubt the welds for the handle will hold up to time and it comes with a warning saying don't let water boil out or bad things will happen like melting. Made in indonesia with only a two year non commercial warranty. Not made... Read More

Sad it wasnt still made in belgium but hoping the quality control by demeyere was still there
Shipping
Just what i wanted and fast delivery
Packaging/appearance
Only complaint is the stickon label on the bottom of the kettle
The all stainless steel kettle long spout makes for easer pouring and the large top opening allows for easier cleaning inside the kettle
The aluminum is not contained within the stainless steel but is adhered to the bottom of the kettle
Boils water and pours out of the spout
Competitiveness
The short goose neck spout is perfect for pour over coffee like a chemex or for pouring directly into cups for singleuse tea etc
